I am a Nanyang Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and affiliated with the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (SCBE) and Lee Kong Chian Medical School (LKCMedicine).
I received a PhD in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA; and a M.A., B.A. in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University, UK. For my PhD thesis, I engineered a targeted hybrid polymeric-lipid nanoparticle platform for drug delivery to angioplastied vessels in vivo. For my post-doctoral fellowship at MIT, I developed 3D angiogenic networks in microfluidic devices.
I am the Editor-in-Chief of Asian Scientist Magazine, and I sit on the editorial board of INNOVATION Magazine, a joint magazine produced by NUS, NTU and SUTD (Singapore’s three R&D universities).
